Arriving in Canada
An Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is compulsory for traveling to Canada as a foreign visitor for whom a visa is unnecessary. This requirement does not apply to Americans and visitors who are in possession of a valid visa.

Travel Support
SIGSOFT CAPS Travel Support is available for students and professionals that attend ICPE 2025. Theย application formย is available and the application deadline is February 21, 2025. Applicants should be notified of the result of their application on or before March 3, 2025.
Visa Support Letter
Visa Support letters can be issued only to attendees who have registered for the conference and have paid for their registration in full.
Once you have registered via the conference Registration site and your payment has been confirmed, you can request a letter to the general co-chair Marin Litoiu(mlitoiu@yorku.ca) providing the following information:
- The full name as it appears on the passport
- The affiliation with the postal mailing address
- The current position
- The paper title the attendee will present
- The track or workshop of the paper
- Registration confirmation number
Note that the support letter contains a Special Event Code, issued by Immigration Canada. Use that code in your visa application to speed up the process.
The Conference cannot contact or intervene with any Embassy or Consulate office abroad on your behalf, so please register early and begin your visa application process early.
